FIRE MEMBERS OF FINANCE & AUDIT COMMITTEES.
The Treasurer by charter is the head of the Audit Committee. He can only be terminated by not reelecting him or changing the charter. The current Treasurer is not running for reelection therefore as of May 1, 2024 he will be gone. All other members of both Finance and Audit Committees ought to resign or be fired by the new Board of Directors. My previous post to you went into the weeds and explains why the current management and board of directors majority are guilty of denying homeowners access upon request of monthly financials through record requests. The law is clear. For a long time many previous boards posted the monthly financials on the SCA web site. When current boards and management became nervous about transparency they became obstructionists. To the extent that current non board members that serve on these committees do not support access to monthly financial statements, in accordance with the law and/or common sense transparency, they ought to be fired.Volunteers are not worthy if they don’t support the law and transparency. I urge a new board majority if elected to fire the volunteers of both these committees, if not prior to the results of the election, they individually or collectively do not condemn the current practice as so wrongly articulated in the April 1 Chronicles eblast. As evidence of their position on this issue, if they wish to declare their support for the law and insisting on monthly disclosure to homeowners that request records or better yet posting of the monthly financials ,let them send an email to both current board members Pam Williams and Rick Ernest and if they like to me at Bobbio@BobbioBlog.com. Absent that, each committee member who does not declare accordingly ought to be fired. The committee members are according to web site: David Levey, Guy Raymaker, Mike Catallo, Roselyn Marten, James Britton, Bob Barry and Richard Yost.If you know any of these volunteers contact them and ask them to disclose their positions. And if they are not willing to do that then they should not be serving. And again the elephant in the room is COO Sandy Seddon. The board just unlawfully hired a Deputy COO to oversee accounting. Get him to weigh in too. Perhaps he ought to be fired as well. Let’s find out.And to those committee members who think the law is not requiring monthly financials available to homeowners, common sense monthly transparency would dictate it for SCA as nearly 100% of HOAs across the country are on board. It is standard practice. And just perhaps not releasing January and February 2024 financials hides some information that neither management nor board President Steve Anderson want homeowners to see prior to casting their votes. Some call the Monday Chronicle eblast’s falsely stating the law as election interference supporting the “status quo”.SCA, we have a problem. We need change. If you haven’t voted please cast your ballot for John Marshall, Ben Leibson and Forrest Quinn. They can fix this.Until next time….Robert |
