Greetings and Welcome
My personal philosophy at this stage of life is to “get to the finish line with a smile on my face”. I have had a rich and full life, and I am still seeking adventure. At the same time, I have my entire life stepped into the middle of controversy to fight for causes I believe important. I have been an advocate for homeowners’ rights ever since getting involved in HOAs. My father was a trial attorney and advocate spokesman. Fighting and advocating for just causes is in my blood. At the same time, I am not one dimensional. I have a lot of fun. I travel having recently been to Cancun, TURKS and CAICOS, Coronado California and a California dude ranch in Solvang, California, play pickle ball, play bridge and pan, go fishing and enjoy cooking especially the fish I bring back from Alaska and British Columbia. I even traveled to Dunkin Donuts to meet with David Berman. I am a grateful man with 3 super kids that I am so proud of.
I came from what I call the “Luckiest Generationâ€. Even though I have had bumps like everyone, I am most fortunate. But enough about me. SCA is facing governance issues, both financial and administrative.
The current and past couple board majorities, in my opinion, have acted in ways that have not served the best interests of all homeowners. The rule of law matters. Transparency matters. Financial responsibility matters. Administrative fairness under the rules matter. Current Management and selective board members have been and are on the wrong side of a number of key issues, which I will discuss in future posts. I have been smeared by legal counsel and certain board members to the point of being libeled and slandered but pursuing those claims is not where I will go. Solving the problem of bad governance is electing Directors that will provide good governance and act responsibly. I will put my energies there. Replacing the current COO and current counsel can only happen if a board majority wants it to happen. It is my hope that WE THE PEOPLE will support such a change.
