IMPORTANCE OF 2024 BOARD ELECETIONS!
Next week I will share with you who I consider the obvious candidates to vote for. And that assumes you really want to create change from the status quo.
There are 6 candidates. 3 are guaranteed change agents. 1 is a potential change agent needing more information to decide. 1 is an incumbent. 1 is a supporter of the current board majority and its management.
The key to this election is getting a new board majority of change agents elected. Because it takes 4 board members’ votes for change. There is only 1 current board member who will serve a second year that is a change agent. So getting 3 elected this cycle will create that new board majority. Anything less will be a failure. Make no mistake about the stakes of this election.
The best way to succeed is for all of us to support the same three candidates AND GET OUT THE VOTE. We must be persistent and relentless for those that are highly motivated to get friends and neighbors ballots cast and submitted. It’s a long voting period. Ballots are mailed March 22 and the winners take office May 1st. Ballots must be received or in one of the drop boxes before Monday April 29.
I have documented and written extensively about the mismanagement of both financial and administrative matters and where assessments are headed unless we curtail spending and manage our resources better. Elections matter. We need a new board majority.

I would like to know what is the position of each of the 3 you are recommending on the York Town Grill. Keep or close. Increase our fees or know that the restaurants in SCA have never been successful.

As a blogger I can have an opinion and can change it without consequence to homeowners. I am speculating. Board Members must evaluate and reach conclusions and take an action position. The restaurant contract requires one year of operation before either party can act. That’s after August 2024 and board members ought to be given time to evaluate a full year of operational data before taking any position. It will be an important moment for sure.
