YORKTOWN LOSSES IN JANUARY MOUNT!

How much exactly? I cannot get a copy of the actual report because President Steve Anderson and shockingly Treasurer Jim Mayfield have apparently conspired with management to not be transparent. I see it as 1. Election Interference protecting Anderson from criticism and 2. violation of NAC116 and NRS 116 that requires they MUST( in the statute) provide the information on request.

One source did not want to disclose the actual amount but confirmed the number is “really bad.” And also confirmed Anderson’s apparent conspiracy to not disclose to you the homeowner the bad news. So wrong.

President Anderson at the January meeting spun the December numbers declaring , “We are heading in the right direction.” I argued that was pure spin as the catered holiday parties reduced the loss from $50,000 for month of November to $20,000 for December. And they purposely released December’s results early so that Anderson could spin at January meeting. I said let’s wait and see January’s results to determine if we are heading in the right direction. And apparently we are not.

I have made the record request to get Yorktown’s January results. We need honest custodians of records and competent leadership. Your board majority led by Steve Anderson behaves dishonestly and disrespects the law conspiring against you the homeowner. That’s a fact. We need a new board majority that will direct management to comply with the honest reporting and release of financial data requirements. It’s a MUST!

And whatever the reality is for YORKTOWN, homeowners have a right to know without political interference. Elections matter. Ballots out March 22.

Until next time….Robert

Hi, I know of nothing at The Anthem Center that makes money. Your constant whining is out of step with the people that bought in Sun City Anthem and paid the cost of a restaurant in the center when we moved here in 2000. I never expected that the restaurant would make money. It was an amenity that we can enjoy that does not exist in any other restaurant in the area. So get used to having a restaurant as we paid for when we bought a home in Sun City Anthem. James Diss

      Thanks for commenting James.
      1. Do you know of any other “amenity” at the center after initial investment that is designed for revenue generation that is projected to lose $500,000 a year? No you don’t.
      2. What you consider whining is considered by most homeowners as a fair presentation of the facts.
      3. You did not pay for a restaurant when you bought. If you did you were duped. That’s on you not the other homeowners.
